celebs

From Angelina Jolie’s lips to Kim Kardashian’s hourglass physique, celebrities are some of the key reasons people embark on their surgery journeys; but which are the most in demand?

The word is in. The ladies want to become the girl next door, a global superstar or a reality TV personality, whilst the gents want to be a teenage heartthrob, Ken or a hip-hop R&B artist.

This is what our data says on the most popular celebrity inspirations for cosmetic surgery in 2024. It’s either that or people online are just curious about whether these celebrities have had liposuction, a nose job or some other face and body enhancement procedures done. They may also simply be keen on referring to them on why they need to do the same.

Whatever the case, Hailee Steinfeld gets it right in Most Girls, where she sings ‘You know some days you feel so good in your own skin. But it’s okay if you wanna change the body that you came in’.

For the men and women out there who wish to slightly touch up or completely change the bodies they came in, cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures are the answer.

Take years off your face with an anti-wrinkle injection, dermal fillers or a full face lift surgery. Tighten your abdomen with a tummy tuck (maybe even get those dream abs), shape your arms with an arm lift, and get the curvy silhouette you want with breast augmentation and BBL surgery.

For your inspiration or reference, check out these most searched men and women celebrities. They may have the nose, chin or body you’re aiming for – excellent templates for your cosmetic surgery aspirations. For those on the list who have had something done for certain, they can be great references for what you’re planning to do.

Women’s Beauty Benchmarks: Celebrities Women Want to Look Like

Whose noses do women dream of having and whose alluring eyes do they tell their cosmetic surgeons to copy?

Below are the current benchmarks of female beauty, and they seem to be what women want when they go under the knife for some beauty-enhancing surgery.

1204x1856 01

1. Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston a.k.a. Rachel Green to her ‘Friends’ (pun intended), dominates the board with 120,120 combined monthly searches, 258% higher than the combined monthly searches for the celebrity in second place. She also tops the searches for plastic surgery, nose job, fillers, and Botox. It seems people can’t get enough of the fresh-faced ‘Friends’ character and can’t wait to look like Rachel Green personified (or they may just be genuinely curious to know what and how much she’s had done).

There’s no denying Aniston’s fame. Through her ‘Friends’ character Rachel, Aniston became a global sensation, a household name, and even won a Primetime Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) award. She also became one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses.

In the final season of ‘Friends’, Jennifer Aniston was earning $1 million per episode – a definite leap from her purported $22,500 per-episode paycheck when the show first aired. Her fame also carried her over to other high-paying film and television roles, including her current ‘The Morning Show’, which she also executive produces with Reese Withersppon, where she supposedly earns $2 million per episode.

It was a win-win, of course. ‘Friends’ also owes a significant part of its success to Aniston. Her fresh look and vibe captivated an entire generation, and her quintessential girl-next-door beauty made her so believable in her role as a slightly spoiled but brave twenty-something young woman on a mission to live the life she wants. It helped that her hair always looked perfect and everything she wore looked exceptionally great on her.

2. Taylor Swift

So, who hasn’t heard of Taylor Swift? She’s an American singer, one of the most influential pop stars with a global fanbase, including 238 million followers on Instagram, millions more on other platforms, and over 96 million monthly listeners on Spotify. She’s also a phenomenal commercial success, with sold-out tours and an estimated $1.3 billion net worth.

Currently, Swift has had 264 songs in the Billboard Hot 100, with 59 in the top 10 and 12 in the number one spot. She has received 52 Grammy Awards nominations, clinching the gramophone trophy 14 times, including four Album of the Year awards for Fearless, 1989, Folklore, and Midnights.

Taylor Swift has monthly combined plastic surgery-related searches of 33,560. People seem curious if she has had plastic surgery and are most interested in her nose. The only person whose nose arouses more interest is Jennifer Aniston. Will the world see an influx of Taylor-inspired nose jobs in the next few months?

3. Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner is a reality TV star, a successful entrepreneur and a highly influential personality with 398 million followers on Instagram. Now 27, she is far from a teenager but seems to have a firm following among the younger crowd, as evinced by her frequent features in Teen Vogue. This is likely due to her early start (she was 10) in reality television with her family’s hit show, ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’. It was also in an episode of this show that she admitted to having had lip augmentation done.

With combined monthly searches of 29,300, Kylie Jenner is the third most-searched female celebrity for plastic surgery and related terms. The public seems particularly enamoured with her lips (only Ariana Grande got a higher number of searches in this category) and curious about her fillers, in general, the category in which she ranks second only to Jennifer Aniston.

4. Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande (378 million followers on Instagram, 76.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify) is a commercially successful American pop singer with an impressive tone and vocal range. She’s had 15 Grammy Awards nominations and won the Grammys two times.

Grande is also undeniably pretty, with her sweet dimples and youthful aura. Her lips are probably her stand-out feature, and the monthly searches for her in the context of lip fillers (she’s also tied in fourth with Selena Gomez in most searched for fillers) seem to indicate people want lips just like hers. Her nose is also quite popular, ranking fourth in monthly searches after Cardi B (fourth place), Taylor Swift (third place) and Jennifer Aniston (first place). Overall, she has combined monthly searches of 27,700, making her the top fourth female celebrity shaping beauty goals in 2024.

5. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is a pop star, singer and actress. She started acting at 10 years of age on the set of ‘Barney & Friends’, but her acting career took off when she was 15 in Disney’s ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’. She also fronted an electro-pop band and released solo albums, but her fame skyrocketed with her well-publicised romance with pop singing sensation Justin Bieber.

When it comes to cosmetic enhancements, Selena Gomez has combined monthly searches of 26,680. People are searching for her in the context of plastic surgery (fourth most searched after Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift and Nicole Kidman) and Botox (second most searched after Jennifer Aniston). She’s also tied in fourth place with Ariana Grande for fillers.

Our Pick: J.Lo

Jennifer Lopez, a.k.a., J.Lo and Jenny from the Block, is a pop icon (i.e., Billboard Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards). A native of the Bronx borough in New York City, she broke through the mainstream by portraying Selena Quintanilla in the film Selena.

J.Lo has not yielded the global limelight since the 1990s. Commercially successful and an accomplished businesswoman, she is past 50 but looks fantastic and remains in great shape. Get your J.Lo glow on with a JLO Beauty® Hydrafacial®!

Men’s Beauty Benchmarks: Celebrities Men Want to Look Like

You wouldn’t normally associate plastic surgery with men, but times have changed, and both men and women have the right to change their appearance if they want. Here are the male celebrities people either use as references for male cosmetic enhancements or whose physical attributes they wish to emulate through cosmetic procedures.

1. Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling is Ken to Margot Robbie’s Barbie in the epochal ‘Barbie’ (2023) movie. Gosling is a prolific Canadian actor and husband to actress Eva Mendes. He has been nominated for many awards, including Academy Awards, BAFTA, and SAG. He has a Golden Globe for his performance in ‘La La Land’ and 39 other acting awards from various bodies and film festivals.

Ryan Gosling has combined monthly searches of 25,070 and is the second most-searched celebrity in the list. He is first in Botox and second most-searched in the plastic surgery, nose job and fillers categories. This should come as no surprise, as Ryan Gosling has always had an enviably symmetrical face, a defined jawline, high cheekbones, and a straight and symmetrical nose. There has also been speculation on whether he’s had fillers, Botox and a nose job.

2. Drake

Drake (i.e., Aubrey Drake Graham) is a rapper and singer particularly known for his hip-hop music. He started out as an actor (Degrassi: The Next Generation) before successfully transitioning into a musical career. He has had 333 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, 78 of which landed in the top 10, with 13 reaching number one. God’s Plan, One Dance, and Work are some of his greatest hits.

In our list, Drake has combined monthly searches of 24,910. He’s particularly popular in the nose job category, ranking first in most searches. This can be because people like his nose. It can also be a result of another rapper’s allegation (which Drake denies) that Drake has had cosmetic surgery to make his nose look smaller.

Drake is also fourth most-searched in plastic surgery.

3. David Beckham

David Beckham is not only one of the most famous footballers in the world but also a global style icon. A 10-time domestic league title holder and a member of the exclusive UEFA Champions League 100, Beckham was awarded UEFA Club Footballer of the Year in 1998-99 and BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2001. His effortless style in men’s fashion continues to captivate, while his name frequently surfaces in discussions about attractive celebrities.

With a combined 7,710 monthly searches related to plastic surgery, Beckham is frequently the focus of speculation. Fans and critics alike are curious about whether his youthful looks and chiselled features are all-natural or enhanced by cosmetic procedures. Searches particularly target his nose, lips, and the possibility of Botox and fillers.

4. Timothée Chalamet

American-French actor Timothée Chalamet shot to international fame after starring in the film ‘Call Me By Your Name’, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. He also delivered memorable portrayals in ‘Little Women’, ‘Beautiful Boy’ and ‘Bones and All’, and had lead roles in big-budget films such as ‘Dune’, ‘Dune: Part Two’ and ‘Wonka’.

Chalamet is the fourth most-searched male celebrity here, with combined monthly searches of 220 (focused on plastic surgery, lip filler, nose job, and Botox categories). Rumours have circulated that Chalamet might be getting plastic surgery, mostly fuelled by the fact that he and Kylie Jenner are dating. But it’s not hard to see his appeal – the high cheekbones, tousled hair and overall boyish looks are easily swoon-worthy.

5. Tiger Woods

In spite of the intrigues surrounding the personal life of Tiger Woods, the legendary golfer has clearly established himself in the golf hall of fame. Besides his record-breaking 82 PGA Tour wins (including 15 major championship victories), Woods also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019, solidifying his status as one of the most celebrated athletes in history.

Known for his intense focus and sportsmanship on the golf course, Woods garners a more modest 720 monthly searches for plastic surgery-related inquiries. He has faced various speculations over the years, though primarily focused on his athletic career rather than cosmetic alterations. Nonetheless, searches related to Botox, fillers, and other enhancements suggest that some are curious about whether the golfing great has sought aesthetic treatments to maintain his appearance amidst the pressures of his public life.

Beauty Is Inspired

Before a rhinoplasty, people tend to look for a nose template among popular celebrities. When people want Botox, fillers, a facelift, or some type of aesthetic enhancement procedure, they look to celebrities they believe may have undergone the same procedures for inspiration on what their own beauty enhancement journey should be like.

The personalities in the above lists are the men and women people use as inspirations and references for cosmetic procedures. They’re the ideal people admire and aspire to become – or the personalities they look to for courage or as examples because people believe these personalities may have already undergone certain procedures they want for themselves.

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but everyone has beauty standards – and more often than not, it flows from whatever the media celebrates and portrays as beautiful. This is why the list above is dominated by celebrities and individuals who have captured the public’s imagination and adulation, either because of their physical features, their personal and professional accomplishments, or both.
