For the men and women out there who wish to slightly touch up or completely change the bodies they came in, cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures are the answer.

She also tops the searches for plastic surgery, nose job, fillers, and Botox. It seems people can’t get enough of the fresh-faced ‘Friends’ character and can’t wait to look like Rachel Green personified (or they may just be genuinely curious to know what and how much she’s had done).

There’s no denying Aniston’s fame. Through her ‘Friends’ character Rachel, Aniston became a global sensation, a household name, and even won a Primetime Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) award. She also became one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses.

In the final season of ‘Friends’, Jennifer Aniston was earning $1 million per episode – a definite leap from her purported $22,500 per-episode paycheck when the show first aired. Her fame also carried her over to other high-paying film and television roles, including her current ‘The Morning Show’, which she also executive produces with Reese Withersppon, where she supposedly earns $2 million per episode.

4. Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande (378 million followers on Instagram, 76.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify) is a commercially successful American pop singer with an impressive tone and vocal range. She’s had 15 Grammy Awards nominations and won the Grammys two times.

Grande is also undeniably pretty, with her sweet dimples and youthful aura. Her lips are probably her stand-out feature, and the monthly searches for her in the context of lip fillers (she’s also tied in fourth with Selena Gomez in most searched for fillers) seem to indicate people want lips just like hers. Her nose is also quite popular, ranking fourth in monthly searches after Cardi B (fourth place), Taylor Swift (third place) and Jennifer Aniston (first place). Overall, she has combined monthly searches of 27,700, making her the top fourth female celebrity shaping beauty goals in 2024.

5. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is a pop star, singer and actress. She started acting at 10 years of age on the set of ‘Barney & Friends’, but her acting career took off when she was 15 in Disney’s ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’. She also fronted an electro-pop band and released solo albums, but her fame skyrocketed with her well-publicised romance with pop singing sensation Justin Bieber.

When it comes to cosmetic enhancements, Selena Gomez has combined monthly searches of 26,680. People are searching for her in the context of plastic surgery (fourth most searched after Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift and Nicole Kidman) and Botox (second most searched after Jennifer Aniston). She’s also tied in fourth place with Ariana Grande for fillers.

Here are the male celebrities people either use as references for male cosmetic enhancements or whose physical attributes they wish to emulate through cosmetic procedures.

1. Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling is Ken to Margot Robbie’s Barbie in the epochal ‘Barbie’ (2023) movie. Gosling is a prolific Canadian actor and husband to actress Eva Mendes. He has been nominated for many awards, including Academy Awards, BAFTA, and SAG. He has a Golden Globe for his performance in ‘La La Land’ and 39 other acting awards from various bodies and film festivals.

Ryan Gosling has combined monthly searches of 25,070 and is the second most-searched celebrity in the list. He is first in Botox and second most-searched in the plastic surgery, nose job and fillers categories. This should come as no surprise, as Ryan Gosling has always had an enviably symmetrical face, a defined jawline, high cheekbones, and a straight and symmetrical nose. There has also been speculation on whether he’s had fillers, Botox and a nose job.

2. Drake

Drake (i.e., Aubrey Drake Graham) is a rapper and singer particularly known for his hip-hop music. He started out as an actor (Degrassi: The Next Generation) before successfully transitioning into a musical career. He has had 333 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, 78 of which landed in the top 10, with 13 reaching number one. God’s Plan, One Dance, and Work are some of his greatest hits.

In our list, Drake has combined monthly searches of 24,910. He’s particularly popular in the nose job category, ranking first in most searches. This can be because people like his nose. It can also be a result of another rapper’s allegation (which Drake denies) that Drake has had cosmetic surgery to make his nose look smaller.

Drake is also fourth most-searched in plastic surgery.

3. David Beckham

David Beckham is not only one of the most famous footballers in the world but also a global style icon. Barring that, you can infer using available search data, and this is what it’s telling us. The following are the top female personalities shaping beauty trends by becoming more popular as references for cosmetic enhancements, representing a shift in what society deems aspirational or ideal.

1. Simone Biles

Simone Biles, a senior international elite gymnast with two skills named after her (Biles and Biles II), is one of the United States’ most decorated gymnasts and one of the world’s most renowned. She has just capped her run at the Paris 2024 Olympics with three gold medals and one silver medal.

She’s also the top trending beauty inspiration, with a 650% jump in search interest – from 60 in 2023 to 450 in 2024. The greatest increases in Simone Biles cosmetic enhancement-related searches are for plastic surgery and nose job.

2. Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt is a British actress known for her roles in films, such as ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, ‘A Quiet Place’, and ‘Mary Poppins Returns’. The industry acknowledges her superb acting, as – so far – she has won two Critics’ Choice Movie awards, one Golden Globe award and two SAG awards.

The public also seems to like what they see. Blunt’s influence and popularity are rising, from a combined search total of 2,310 in 2023 to 14,990 in 2024 – a 548.92% jump. The most dramatic search increases were in plastic surgery, Botox and fillers.

With an increase in cosmetic enhancement-related searches from 1,340 in 2023 to 4,550 in 2024, her influence in the beauty inspiration space has risen 239.55%. There’s particular interest in her nose, with nose job searches multiplying approximately five times in the period from 2023 to 2024. Plastic surgery searches also more than doubled during the same period.

5. Dakota Johnson

Dakota Johnson has been acting since she was 10, but her breakthrough came in 2015, when she took on the challenge of becoming Anastasia Steele in the widely popular film, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.

Johnson, with combined monthly searches of 1,250 in 2023 and 3,940 in 2024, is gaining ground in popularity as an aspirational beauty standard. People are particularly keen to learn if she has had plastic surgery and show particular interest in her nose.

They’re not the most searched, but there has been a meteoric rise in the name searches for them in the context of aesthetic enhancement procedures between 2023 and 2024.

1. Roger Federer

Retired tennis great Roger Federer is trending with 920 searches in 2023 and 18,280 searches in 2024. In a single year, combined searches for plastic surgery related terms grew a phenomenal 1,886.96%.

2. Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling has always been popular, but he’s trending even more so now. In 2023, his combined searches amounted to 2,940. A year later, it ballooned to 25,070, registering a whopping 752.72% increase in influence in the beauty and cosmetic surgery space.

3. Drake

Hip-hop artist Drake, who’s third in the list of male personalities whose features the public seem to admire, is also the third trendiest personality when it comes to male cosmetic enhancement references. Starting at a combined search total of 3,040 in 2023, he got 24,910 in 2024, representing a 719.41% increase in interest.

4. David Beckham

An Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE), David Beckham is a professional football player with a colourful and accomplished career as a professional athlete. He has played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, and Paris Saint-Germain, with loans to Preston North End and AC Milan. He has many honours, including top-tier league titles not only in England but also in the United States, Spain and France.

David Beckham is also popular for his high-profile relationship with wife Victoria Beckham, formerly of the girl group Spice Girls. He had combined monthly searches of 2,030 in 2023 and 7,710 in 2024, exhibiting an increase in interest of 279.80%, particularly in the plastic surgery, nose job and fillers categories.

5. Tim Cook

Former chief operating officer and current chief executive officer of the billion-dollar company Apple, Tim Cook has always attracted attention. Maybe not to the degree that his forerunner Steve Jobs aroused public interest, but when Tim Cook does something, people notice.

In 2023, Tim Cook had combined searches of 50. In 2024, this has risen to 150, a jump of 200%. This may be because Cook is already 63 and people are simply curious if he has had some cosmetic procedures done.
